The Falcons will land in Grayson for Friday Night Lights on August 5th

NFL_2012_Falcons_VaporJet2Glove_originalGrayson, are you ready to catch some Falcons Fever?

Me either. That sounds terrible, like Bird Flu.

But I am excited for a couple of bits of Atlanta Falcons news. First off, the big news: the Falcons will bring their annual fan-friendly Friday Night Lights team event to Grayson High School on August 5th, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The event, which runs from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, features a scrimmage and lots of fan-player interactions, like games, autograph opportunities, and fireworks. The event is completely free, and open to the public. The Falcons brought the event to our area two years ago when Archer High School hosted.

But, if you can’t wait to get your Falcons fix, the team will host it’s minicamp this week at its Flowery Branch headquarters. This from Atlanta Falcons.com:

The Atlanta Falcons Minicamp Built by The Home Depot will take place at the club’s Flowery Branch training facility beginning on Tuesday, June 14 and will conclude on Thursday, June 16. All three practices will be open to the public.

Tuesday, June 14: Practice starts at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, June 15: Practice starts at 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, June 16: Practice starts at 11:20 a.m. ** Gates open at 10:00 a.m.

On Wednesday, children 17 and under are invited to attend Kid’s Day at minicamp, which will include giveaways, prizes and appearances by Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, Freddie Falcon and mascot friends.
