Michelle Finley: Inspiration for Holiday Gifts and Glam

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year… says the girl who LOVES to shop! J  Some of the best shopping you will find is typically close to home.   Shopping locally can be fun and rewarding, as we support those who support our communities.  Some of Grayson’s Finest include:

9Southern Sisters

(Owners: Robin Lunsford and Sandi Mitcham)

In business since 2002 and specializing in personalized gifts, you’ll find some of the most coveted items on your families wish list in their store.  From; Kendra Scott and Alex and Ani jewelry to Brighton, Vera Bradley, and of course – for the men on your list – the latest Yeti products from cups to coolers.

10Grayson Jewelers

(Owners Joe and Beth Kalish)

Opened in 2009 and was voted Best of Gwinnett 2015.  This local jeweler creates custom designs and offers a vast array of Pandora which is sure to make all the women on your Christmas list very happy.  Or maybe the man in your life needs a new time piece.  You don’t need to go far to find the very best.

I also wanted to help you with the all important question of “what to wear to your Holiday parties?”    You may be having drinks with the girls, or maybe you need to go straight from work to a party or a festive work event.  Hopefully you have a chance to go all out for a cocktail party.

If that’s the case, I have all the ideas you need to dress up any occasion right here:

Drinks with the girls or a special date night during this most festive time of year calls for some sparkle!  Add that sparkle to your favorite pair of jeans, some beautiful sandals and a tuxedo style jacket.  Don’t be afraid to play up your accessories from bracelets to dangling earrings or a fun clutch to add some extra pizzazz.  Here, I am wearing a sequin strapless bustier style top with a tuxedo jacket.  This could easily be paired with a simple skirt for day.  Yes, I would wear this to work.  Then, you need only change to jeans for a casual night on the town.

Maybe you need to attend a work Holiday party and though you want to be festive you don’t want to show up over dressed!  The answer to this is tartan!  The beautiful plaids that give that Party flare while remaining professional.  These two options would be perfect for wearing to work and going straight to the party!

Hopefully you have a chance to go all out for a cocktail party.  Here, I’m pulling out all the stops from velvet to sequins, pearls to rhinestones.  This is a classic look that will be both beautiful and comfortable for dinner and dancing!  You may be thinking you don’t want to buy these items for one party!  You can also pare this velvet top with jeans for a more casual look!  And if you want to play down the sequin skirt, just pare it with your tartan plaid shirt or even a red t-shirt and denim jacket.

Details on all these items will be available in the coming week on my fashion page www.finleysfivefold.com  and you can always follow me on Instagram @smfinley28 for more ideas.

Here’s hoping you have a fantastic – and fashionable – holiday season!
