Lux Royale Productions, located on Grayson Parkway in between Graft and Grayson Coffee House, is hosting an open house on Saturday, August 15th in their studios. The event, which runs from 4 until 6 PM on Saturday, will showcase the studio’s new “Little Black Box” performance salon, now open for music and dramatic productions. The event also kicks off the studio’s 2015-16 Company year.
“We are excited to offer this to the people of Grayson,” said Lisa Bastian, Executive Producer at the studio. Bastian, who also serves as Artistic Director for the studio, hopes people will stop in with their children to see what the homegrown studio has to offer.
“There will be food, music and drama demonstrations, as well as some drawings for prizes,” Bastian said. “People can look at our audition schedule for Scrooge and Steel Magnolias and sign up for guitar or voice lessons.”
The highlight of the night will be the new salon, which seats an intimate 30 people and was designed to give local artists space to display their talents. The black box area, complete with stage, is suited to live performance as well as film projects. Lux Royale will also use the space to showcase several of the artists they represent.
Bastian’s husband, Clay, owns the studio, and is a veteran of the Nashville music scene. Between the husband and wife pairing, they have won numerous awards and the duo is excited to bring their experience to the artists in Grayson.
