June 1 means Farmers’ Market opening, Rosebud closings

Welcome to June! Summer’s past its breaking in period, so we’re now poised for eight weeks of rip-roaring fun in the sun. And here in Grayson we’re kicking things off with the opening of our award-winning Farmers’ Market!

Here’s a note from the Farmers’ Market Facebook page:

13346257_1215673898444700_7087688203095797937_o“It’s MARKET DAY! WOOT! Our favorite farmers are returning with all the freshest LOCAL produce picked this morning for Grayson’s award-winning farmers’ market this afternoon! It just doesn’t get ANY fresher than that!

There will be pie, cupcakes, cookies, and treats baked up just for the folks in Grayson and we’ve got some wonderful natural body products created right in our own community!

Dinner? Mac the Cheese, Big Daddy Q, C-Bo’s and Mike’s Comfort Foods are going to be on site serving up our favorite Wednesday night dinners.

Sweets while you shop? Kettleworks, Tracey’s Tasties, Cherry Scoop, and Southern Sno can help you out there!

And we’ve got entertainment! Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the Grayz ‘n’ Bluz while the munchkins wear themselves out on the playground and for sure, bring your camera as we’ll have giant Dinosaurs from “Mark’s World” roaming the park today!

Yeah. It’s going to be great!

Market starts at 3:30!

We can’t wait to see you!”

Also, today is the big day for Rosebud Road construction. The road will be shut down intermittently (re: randomly) during the day, so take that into consideration as you travel around town. Be patient, be kind, and if the traffic is tough this afternoon, be sure to just stop by the park and chill out with the fine folks at the Market!
