Gwinnett Police search for clues in man’s homicide near Tribble Mill (Updated)

(UPDATE) The Gwinnett County Police have identified the homicide victim in a case they’re working at River Station Court. The victim’s name is Jeffery Anderson. Anderson was 25 years old.

I somehow mistakenly read the press release and identified Anderson as a teen. For that, I am sorry. The original release is below.

Shortly before midnight on Tuesday, November 24, the Gwinnett County Police Department received a tip of a possible deceased male inside the home of 2773 River Station Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

When the officers arrived at the home to do a welfare check, they went inside and found a young black male who was deceased.  A homicide investigator and the Crime Scene Unit were dispatched to the scene.

First responding officers found that the victim had at least one gunshot wound, but investigators will not be able to determine if he had any other injuries until an autopsy can be performed.  At this time, we don’t know how long the victim was inside the home prior to discovering his body.

GCPD is in the process of obtaining a search warrant to collect evidence in this case.

If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.  To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.  Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.  Case number:  15-106416
