The Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services will hold a brief 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial, located in the front parking lot of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. The ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015. Citizens and the news media are invited to attend the ceremony along with public safety personnel.

Activities will include presentation of colors by a combined public safety Honor Guard, ceremonial wreath laying and keynote speech by an active-duty member of the United States Marine Corps.
Dignitaries will include Commission Chairman Charlotte J. Nash, Lawrenceville Mayor Judy Jordan Johnson, Gwinnett Fire Chief Casey Snyder, Gwinnett Police Major Paul Tucker, Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Mike Boyd and Lawrenceville Police Chief Randy Johnson. Representatives from the Boy Scouts of America will lead the audience in the pledge of allegiance.
