Grayson Rams smash Mill Creek to advance to Championship game

The Grayson Rams have one state championship. After tonight, they’ll have a chance for a second.

The varsity football squad dominated the Mill Creek Hawks in the first half on the way to a 44-26 final score. The Rams led 9-7 at the end of the first quarter, and then exploded for 29 points in the second. The Rams never looked back after that.

Quarterback Chase Brice was named the player of the game after throwing for 3 touchdowns. The team also added a defensive touchdown, a rushing touchdown and three field goals from kicker Will van Pamelen.

Grayson will have to clean up their play if they want to win against Roswell next week. The team had 12 penalties for 115 yards in the game. According to the AJC, Grayson and Roswell are ranked in the top 10 in several national polls.

The championship game will be played on Saturday, December 10th at 8:00PM in the Georgia Dome.
