Grayson man, 43, shoots and kills step-daughter

Y’all.

I can’t tell how sick it makes me to have to post this, but here is the official statement from the Gwinnett County Police regarding the fatal shooting that happened this afternoon off Pinehurst View Drive. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

“Gwinnett County Police have arrested a forty three year old male for the murder of his twenty six year old stepdaughter. The incident began on the 1900 Block of Pinehurst View Drive in Grayson around 4:30 pm when a person shot call was received by police. Police arrived to learn that a domestic dispute led to a male shooting his stepdaughter inside a home and fleeing the scene on foot into the subdivision. A large perimeter was set up and within an hour, the suspect was apprehended inside the subdivision without incident.

The victim was transported to an area hospital but did not survive. The victim’s mother, two teen boys, and two young children were inside the home when the shooting happened. They were not harmed. Names will be released pending next of kin notification. This is a tragic situation that has ruined a family. Our objective at this point is to conduct a thorough investigation and paint a clear picture for what led to this homicide.”
