Grayson Friday Nights:: All Around the Town (A Recap) and What’s Up Next For Grayson Local

I can’t believe April is already over.  I’m not really sad that it’s over, its more like tomorrow night is the 1st Friday there is NO RAIN forecasted in WEEKS and I don’t have a Grayson Friday Nights piece to write.  You win again, mother nature.

That said, I thought it best to recap where we’ve been (and where you should be going) before we move on to our next mini-series.  Lets talk a walk down a very wet memory lane…

Week 1:  Graft

Ok, so I’m exaggerating – it didn’t rain week one.  It was a warm, perfect spring night and I got to spend it talking herbs, plants and flowers with Emily at Graft.  From the Rosy Daly picture-perfect summertime drink  to the pimento cheese and chips that still aren’t on the menu, it was the perfect quiet eventing full of deliciousness, great conversation, and sustainable, interesting ingredients.  So as a reminder….if local, relaxed and interesting are your thing, your next Friday night should already have Graft penned in.  The delights in are in the details, and this is where Graft always gets it right.  You can click here to read the original post.

Week 2: Johnnys Pizza

Ok this is where the rainy, unbelievable mess started.  Which was fine, because if its going to be miserable outside, you need to find something to do inside, and Johnnys was the perfect solution.  Your classic neighborhood bar,cheers-esque in the way that every one knows your name, and if they don’t, they will soon.  The regulars were there, the staff super friendly, and family and friends alike came together to de-stress and either remember or forget about their week. There are no strangers at Johnnys, only friends and amazing mozzarella sticks.  Click [here] to read the original post.

Week 3: Hail Marys Pub

You guessed it… rain, again.  The action (as it usually is) was all around the bar, but I had my kiddos with me so we had to take a spectators seat. Instead we got to take in the bright surroundings, full of sports memorabilia ranging from hockey to football.   Similar to Johnnys in the way that everyone seemed to know each other and there were no strangers in sight.  The star of the day was the outdoor patio – not because we could actually use it, but because we really, really wanted to.  Hail Mary’s patio screams summertime, drinks with friends, and a good time.  Mental note, go back and often to hang out on that patio!  You can click [here] to read the original post.
