GHS Girls Lacrosse to play for a cure on March 3rd

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 10.20.29 AMThe Grayson High School Lady Rams lacrosse team is calling for a community wide pink-out on March 3rd. The varsity and junior varsity squads will go head-t0-head at Peachtree Ridge that day in a “Lax for the Cure” match. The event, which is in its fifth year, hopes to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer.

JV start time is 5:00PM, followed by the Varsity tilt at 6:30PM. Cancer survivors and their families will be recognized during halftime of both games.

The evening will also serve as a youth night for Grayson-area lacrosse players. Any student attending the game wearing his or her 2016 GAA lacrosse jersey will receive free admission to the games. All students must be accompanied by an adult. Activities will include player introductions and interaction with the JV and Varsity squads.

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 10.19.41 AMThe team is raising funds by selling pink “Lax for the Cure” t-shirts which can be purchased online at ghsgirlslacrosse.org. Short sleeved shirts are $15, long sleeved are $20. You can even have the name of a cancer victim or survivor added to the back of the shirt for $10 per name. All proceeds will go to Relay for Life.

So let’s back the Girls Lacrosse team and get pink, Grayson. For more information, you can visit ghsgirlslacrosse.org.
