For those who’ve been faking it for years, here’s a compelling reason to stop: the Grayson High School baseball program is selling real Christmas trees as a fundraiser.

The team’s tree lot, which is located on Highway 78 across from the Sonic drive-thru, will be open during the holiday season. It will be staffed by players, parents, and volunteers.

As a special bonus, the teams’ head coach, Jed Hixson, will hold off shaving his beard until every tree on the lot is sold. Mrs. Hixson, who’s not a fan of facial hair, would be very appreciative if you’d drop by and snag a tree for your home.

The lot will be open through the holidays on Monday through Friday from 3-9 PM, Saturdays from 9 AM until 9 PM, and on Sundays from Noon to 6 PM.
