UPDATE: Donations sought for family who lost everything in yesterday’s fire

UPDATE: For those looking to make donations, you can physically drop items off at Graystone Church tonight from 5-7 PM. In addition to the items listed below, grocery store gift cards are being suggested as well. If you want further updates, please check with Ryan Brooks’ Facebook page or the G2C Facebook page.

Yesterday I posted a story about a house fire in unincorporated Loganville. Today my brother reached out to me and asked me to spread the word about a donation drive he’s starting to help the family whose house burned to the ground. The need is great, so please give anything you can.

Here’s what Ryan wrote to me:

One of my kids that I coach lost everything in that house fire you wrote about yesterday. I am going to set up a donations list/location for this family.

Help me in praying for this family, but please also consider donating anything that you can — from old clothes, to gift cards for groceries, to money or whatever you feel led to. I want to show this family that God and the community of Grayson will do all that we can to help them.

We are looking for Baby Girl clothes sizes 3-6 months (be mindful of cold weather); 8 year old boy clothes – (size 10); and 14 year old girl clothes (size 8 pants and medium tops).

The family also has a PayPal account if you wish to donate there as well: kmega49@gmail.com

If you are interested in helping, please message me on Facebook or email me at rbrooks925@yahoo.com or call me at 404-732-5525.
