Christian Hunnicutt returns to Grayson High in new role: Head Coach

The Grayson Rams varsity football team will have a familiar face prowling the sidelines at head coach next year. The school announced on Friday that former offensive line coach Christian Hunnicutt would return to the school as the next head coach.

Hunnicutt served as the head coach at East Jackson High School in Commerce. Hunnicutt took a moribund program to a 4-6 record in his lone year at the helm. East Jackson hadn’t won that many games over the previous three seasons (the Eagles were 3-27 over that span).

He inherits a program loaded with talent and coming off a 14-1 season that culminated in a state championship. Former head coach Jeff Herron announced his resignation earlier this year, and subsequently took a job coaching in South Carolina.
