It’s been an ugly week for football in Georgia. Falcons fans are feeling low. Tech fans have nothing to buzz about. Even Georgia fans are woofing about the state of their program in the aftermath of Mark Richt’s firing.
Who, oh who, will redeem fall for us fans of gridiron glory?
Enter the Grayson Rams.
The varsity Rams will face off against the Roswell Hornets on Friday night at 7:30 PM in the GHS stadium. And it’s no ordinary game: the winner will advance to the state championship at the Georgia Dome next weekend.
Billy Brice, president of the Rams Touchdown Club, sent out a message asking for Ram Nation in Grayson to turn out for the game.
“We need all the support we can get. Bring all family members, neighbors, co-workers, etc…. and let’s pack the stadium and get loud! We want everyone to bring a white rally towel to wave for every kickoff, big defensive play, and score that the Rams have. We need the place to be lit ( as the boys would say). SAM’s has the white hand towels if anyone gets by there. Bring extras for your guests and let’s bring home another W!”
So let’s go Grayson – let’s answer the call and turn out to support our students in the penultimate game of their perfect season. In the midst of a dark, dark week, we have finally found our ray of light.
Tickets are $15.
